Leadership Properties of Northwest Arkansas was founded in 2014 by partners Bob David and Julie Vaught. It is our mission to create distinctive and elegant residential developments in Northwest Arkansas that become the community people are longing to come home to – one that fits their active lifestyle while incorporating the natural beauty of the NWA landscape. We began this philosophy with our original development project, Scissortail, and continues in our current development projects, Aurora and Echelon in Bentonville, as well as Trillium in Cave Springs.
Bob David
Development Partner
Bob David, co-founder of Leadership Properties of Northwest Arkansas, is a seasoned real estate developer with over 35 years of experience in creating thriving residential and commercial projects. His career began in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he founded Leadership Properties in 1997, establishing himself as a strategic thinker with an eye for value and potential in every project. Bob’s real estate acumen is grounded in his deep understanding of market dynamics, making him an invaluable partner in any venture.
In 2008, Bob expanded Leadership Properties to Northwest Arkansas, where he successfully led the development of the Oak Tree subdivision in Centerton. Despite launching during the 2008 financial crisis, Bob’s strategic foresight and commitment to delivering high-quality amenities, such as a clubhouse and pool, ensured Oak Tree’s success and quick recovery. His approach to development—characterized by thoughtful planning, excellent execution, and a commitment to community—has since been a hallmark of every project he undertakes.
Bob’s partnership with Julie Vaught in 2014 further solidified his reputation as a developer who delivers excellence. Together, they have developed premier communities like Scissortail in Bentonville and Aurora in Rogers, offering top-tier amenities, resort-style living, and a keen focus on building family-friendly environments. Recently, their rebranding of Sapphire Homes to Thrilled Home Builders reflects their commitment to creating luxury homes that blend function and beauty, inspired by high-end resorts.

Julie Vaught
Development Partner
Julie Vaught, co-founder of Leadership Properties of Northwest Arkansas, brings strategic vision and operational expertise to every development project. With a strong background in real estate title work, she began her career as a Closing Agent at Heritage Title and Mercury Title, where she developed a deep understanding of the complexities of property transactions. Her move into real estate development was driven by a desire to build communities that offer lasting value and foster a strong sense of connection.
In 2014, Julie partnered with Bob David to expand Leadership Properties’ presence in Northwest Arkansas. Her attention to detail and ability to oversee the seamless execution of projects have contributed to the success of developments like Scissortail and Aurora. Julie’s focus on incorporating thoughtful amenities and creating inviting neighborhoods has set a new standard for residential living in the region.
Beyond overseeing operations, Julie is instrumental in shaping the company’s vision and strategic direction.
